Bibliotheca Hertziana / Max-Planck-Institut für Kunstgeschichte (Rom): Promotionsstipendium.

Im Rahmen der Fördermaßnahmen für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs vergibt die Bibliotheca Hertziana (Max-Planck-Institut für Kunstgeschichte, Rom) zum 1. Oktober 2010 ein Stipendium zur Anfertigung einer Dissertation, die der italienischen Kunstgeschichte gewidmet ist. Das zunächst einjährige Stipendium kann um ein Jahr verlängert werden, nach Vorlage eines Berichtes und einer Stellungnahme des/der Betreuers/Betreuerin.

Interessierte müssen folgende Unterlagen einreichen:
- Antrag mit Darlegung des Dissertationsthemas
- Befürwortung des Doktorvaters und eines weiteren Universitätslehrers
- Lebenslauf mit Studiengang und Lichtbild
- Manuskript der Magisterarbeit oder entsprechender wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten.

Von den Stipendiaten/Stipendiatinnen wird erwartet, daß sie bereit sind, wöchentlich 5 Stunden an den Institutsaufgaben mitzuwirken. Wir bitten sie, die Bewerbung bis zum 31. Project Officer, Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts, Hebrew Manuscripts, The British Library (St Pancras, London), 9 months fixed term, with the possibility of a three-month extension, to start in September - October 2011. Salary: £30,768 - £34,853 p.a.

The British Library’s Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts project is revolutionising access to the extraordinary riches of the Library’s collections, making them easily accessible for the first time to art historians, other scholars, and the general public. This has been achieved by adding digital images and descriptions of over 3,500 Latin and European vernacular manuscript to the Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts website.  In this exciting phase of the project, we will be adding descriptions and images of all of the illuminated Hebrew manuscripts to the Catalogue.

Therefore, you will apply your specialist skills to create catalogue descriptions of approximately 100 illuminated Hebrew manuscripts for the Catalogue of Illuminated Manuscripts. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team to strict deadlines, have experience of cataloguing medieval manuscripts, good reading knowledge of Hebrew, and expert knowledge of medieval art history, palaeography, and codicology. Closing date: 4th June 2010.

The position of a professor of the Art History Department at the University of Freiburg/Breisgau in Germany will be vacant in 2011.

STELLENAUSSCHREIBUNG: Am Kunstgeschichtlichen Institut der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg ist eine W3-Professur, Vollzeitstelle, Eintrittstermin: 01.04.2011, (ohne Ausstattung) für Kunstgeschichte der Frühen Neuzeit mit Schwerpunkt in den bildenden Künsten (Malerei/Skulptur) wiederzubesetzen. Erwartet wird methodische Kompetenz, Interesse für bildwissenschaftliche Fragestellungen und Engagement in den bestehenden bzw. in den im Aufbau befindlichen, interdisziplinären Lehr- und Forschungsverbünden. Das Fachgebiet ist in allen Studiengängen zu vertreten.

Einstellungsvoraussetzungen sind ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium, Promotion, Habilitation oder gleichwertige wissenschaftliche Leistungen sowie pädagogische Eignung. Die Beteiligung an Aufgaben der akademischen Selbstverwaltung wird erwartet. Die Stelle ist unbefristet. Die Vergütung erfolgt nach W3.
